We originally was only going to make a Sturgeon design because it hits close to home for my community and we thought other communities could relate to our on going struggle for Indigenous hunting and fishing rights. Recently, we came across the issue across the river at Short Hills Provincial Park in St. Catharines, Ontario. Non-Indigenous people have been protesting our right to hunt and ignoring the fact that our hunting rights are protected by treaties between our Indigenous Nations and the Crown. Our Traditional food is healthier than anything we can buy at the grocery store. Our communities must achieve food sovereignty to independence for Colonial governments!
