Rooted in tradition and built with care, this child-sized wooden bench is inspired by the longhouse benches found in our Haudenosaunee communities and longhouses —scaled perfectly for little ones to sit, learn, sing, and gather.
Handcrafted from solid pine, this 30" long bench is sturdy, warm, and inviting, with clean lines and a timeless design that honors community, togetherness, and storytelling. Whether it’s used during cultural teachings, language lessons, singing, drumming, or simply as a special place to sit and “be,” this bench gives children their own space to feel included and connected.
The simple, strong construction reflects traditional form while keeping safety and durability in mind. Each bench is made by Tuscarora WoodWorks on the Tuscarora Nation, and finished to highlight the natural beauty of the wood grain. Select designs feature meaningful Haudenosaunee-inspired imagery such as the Tree of Peace, Hiawatha Belt, Gustoweh, and Ever Growing Tree—adding cultural significance and visual storytelling to each piece.
