The Longhouse

Covered in a stylized Ever Growing Tree Wampum Belt design and surrounded by the people locking arms around it, "The Longhouse" is a reminder to work together to build communities based on the Good Mind and the Great Path -or Great Law of Peace. Maintaining Peace is an ongoing responsibility of the people. Locking arms together is inspired by our traditional teachings that among our responsibilities we are to work together to hold up the Great Tree of Peace - the symbol of the Great Law. Locked arms symbolizes that if the tree was to fall, the Chiefs would be there to hold it up.

This box is handmade from walnut and birch - both species indigenous to Turtle Island. The removable lid allows you full access to the inside for your keepsakes. The construction and attention to detail is exquisite. Use it to store keepsakes of any type, including feathers, watches, photos, etc. If you're looking for a gift for someone special, look no further.
