According to our Creation Story, Sky Woman fell down from Sky World and landed on a great Turtle's back. This world was covered in water so Sky Woman could not survive here. Various animals tried to swim to the bottom of the ocean to bring back dirt for the creation of land. Muskrat succeeded in gathering dirt, which was placed on the back the turtle. From the dirt the great Turtle grew into North America.
